  • What is The Fury Run?
    The Fury Run is an annual race in Norman, Oklahoma, featuring a half-marathon, 5K, and 1-mile fun run, all intentionally designed for speed and excitement, and each races through the OU Sooners’ football stadium. The half marathon starts and ends at the YFAC, while the EF-5K and 1 Mile Fun Run start on Campus Corner and at the stadium. Complimentary transportation will be provided throughout the day between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the stadium to accommodate parking. View and download the course maps here.
  • Where are race day headquarters?
    The official race day headquarters is at the Young Family Athletic Center (YFAC) at 2201 Trae Young Drive, Norman, OK 73069. Enjoy ample parking and complimentary transportation between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the Sooners’ stadium throughout the day.
  • Where should I park?
    We recommend parking at the Young Family Athletic Center (YFAC) for all attendees, including EF-5K and 1 Mile Fun Run participants. Complimentary transportation will run throughout the day between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the Sooners’ stadium. Limited parking will be available at McCasland Field House.
  • How does the complimentary transportation work?
    The Norman Sports Commission will provide shuttle service between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and Sooners’ Stadium from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Whether you park at YFAC or on Campus, we’ll get you where you need to go. This service is available to racers, volunteers, spectators, family and friends of the Fury Run, and Fest goers.   • What is the Fury Fest?
    The Fury Fest on March 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the YFAC is a FREE event featuring live music from Cutter Elliott, Sugar-Free Allstars, and Replay 8 Piece, plus tournaments in Corn Hole, Slam Ball, and Table Tennis hosted by Dick's House of Sport. Sip on specialty “Fury Beers” and classic brews crafted by Norman’s local breweries or purchase a Fury Fest Fizzies ticket for unlimited pours. Meet the OKC Thunder Drumline, enjoy weather balloon launches, and check out storm chaser vehicles with the National Weather Center! Complimentary transportation will be provided between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the Sooners’ stadium throughout the event to accommodate parking.
  • What are 'Fury Fest Fizzies' Tickets?
    For $35, purchase a Fury Fest Fizzies ticket to sample unlimited specialty “Fury Beers” and traditional brews. Bring your ticket to the Fest, receive your tasting glass and keep the good times flowing! Fury Fest Fizzies tickets are 21+, ID required. Click here to purchase.

  • How does The Fury Run give back to the community?
    Proceeds from the race will benefit several initiatives, including a contribution to the American Red Cross of Oklahoma for disaster relief efforts. Click here to make donation.

  • What happens if the event is canceled due to weather or other circumstances?
    In the unlikely event of a cancellation, updates will be posted on The Fury Run website, on social media, and sent to participants via email.

  • How can I become a sponsor for The Fury Run?

  • Can I transfer my registration to another person?
    We do not allow transfers to another person at this time.
  • How do I register for The Fury Run?
    Visit the official registration page. Select your preferred race, whether it's the half marathon, EF-5K, or 1 Mile Fun Run, and complete the registration process. For additional assistance, contact the Norman Sports Commission, at info@normansports.org.
  • What are the race distances available?

  • What are the race fees?
    Fees vary by race; optional t-shirt and medal available (deadline applies). Visit the official registration page for updated pricing.
  • What are the deadlines for registration?
    Race Day registration for all courses is allowed. T-Shirt and medal selections due by January 24, 2025. There is no deadline to purchase a Fury Fest Fizzies Ticket and can even be bought at the Fest! Click here to learn more.
  • Are refunds allowed?
    Refunds are allowed within 15 minutes of purchase. At the time of payment you have the option to protect your payment with FanShield. Learn more here.
  • What happens in the event of inclement weather?
    As noted by the race's weather theme, weather in Oklahoma can change fast and furiously - but most of the time it’s pretty gorgeous. The race will only be delayed or cancelled if the National Weather Center (located in Norman, Oklahoma) issues a safety warning. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, updates will be posted.

  • Where do I go for early packet pickup?
    Bibs and packets can be picked up Thursday, February 27 - Friday February 28 from 3 PM to 7 PM at the following locations: OK Runner of Norman: 3408 36th Ave NW Suite 100, Norman, OK 73072 Red Coyote of Norman: 426 E Main St, Norman, OK 73071
  • I am traveling in. Where should I stay?
    The Sooner you plan your stay, the better! Check out the Visit Norman website for travel, lodging, and entertainment information.
  • When is packet pickup on race day?
    Race day pickup for all courses starts at 5:45 AM on March 1 at the Young Family Athletic Center (YFAC). Complimentary transportation will be provided throughout the day between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the stadium to accommodate parking. Spectators are welcome to hop aboard!
  • Where can I park?
    Enjoy ample parking at the Young Family Athletic Center (YFAC). From 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, complimentary transportation will be provided between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the Sooners’ stadium to accommodate parking. Participants include racers, volunteers, friends, family, bystanders, and pets. Additional, but limited, parking will be available at McCasland Field House.   • What's the shuttle schedule?
    Buses start running at 6:30 AM between the YFAC, Campus Corner, Sooners’ stadium, and volunteer locations. Three buses will depart from the YFAC, and one from McCasland Field House, every 15 minutes until 8:15 AM. After the races, buses will shuttle participants as needed until 3:30 PM.
  • Where are the start and finish lines?
    Start Lines Wheelchair Half Marathon: 6:45 AM, in front of the YFAC Half Marathon: 7:00 AM, in front of the YFAC Wheelchair EF-5K: 7:45 AM, south corner of Asp and Boyd EF-5K & 1 Mile Fun Run: 8:00 AM, south corner of Asp and Boyd Finish Lines Wheelchair Half Marathon & Half Marathon: The YFAC Wheelchair EF-5K & EF-5K & 1 Mile Fun Run: On the Sooners’ football field
  • Are there time limits?
    Mile markers will be posted at each mile. Half marathon racers will have 4 hours to complete the course. If not at mile 8 by 9:30 AM, support will transport you back to the YFAC to cut a rug at the Fury Fest. The EF-5K and 1 Mile Fun Run racers have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the course.
  • Are walkers welcome?
    Absolutely! All paces are encouraged. Please pace yourself to stay within the allotted time limits.
  • Are strollers, wheelchairs, or pets welcome?
    Absolutely! The more enjoying our courses, the merrier. (Keep in mind – Pets are not allowed inside the YFAC during the Fury Fest.)
  • Will there be hydration, relief, and aid stations?
    Water and aid stations will be available all along the course and at the start/finish lines. Restrooms will be open inside YFAC and the Palace and at 9 aid stations.
  • Where do I pick up my medal?
    Pick up your medal at the post-race party, “The Fury Fest,” inside the YFAC. Reminder: Complimentary transportation will be provided throughout the day between the YFAC, Campus Corner, and the Sooners’ stadium.
  • How are bib numbers assigned? Can I choose my own?
    Bib Numbers are assigned during packet pickup via RunSignUp’s dynamic system. We are not able to accommodate specific bib number requests at this time.
  • Do you have rules on bib placement?
    Bibs must be visible on the FRONT of your torso. Keep the timing chip flat and unobstructed (no covering by outer layers, phone, stroller, etc.). Avoid folding or wrinkling the bib to prevent damage to the timing chip.
  • How is the race timed?
    We use the Chronotrack system for accurate timing. Half marathon and 5K placements are determined by USATF Rule 245.1 (gun time). As stated in Rule 254.1: “The order in which the athletes cross the finish line will be the official finish position.” Age group placements are determined by chip time (USATF Rule 245.3). Rule 245.3 specifies: “The actual time elapsed between an athlete reaching the starting line and finish line can be made known to the athlete, but will not be considered as official time.”
  • What are the awards for winners?
    The top three men’s and women’s half marathon and EF-5K winners receive prize purses: 1st: $750 2nd: $500 3rd: $250 In the event a new state record is set, a $1,500 purse will be awarded!
  • What's happening after the race?
    The Fury Fest, our race celebration! Occurs March 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the YFAC. This is a FREE event featuring live music from Cutter Elliott, Sugar-Free Allstars, and Replay 8 Piece. Compete in Corn Hole, Slam Ball, and Table Tennis tournaments hosted by Dick's House of Sport.   • Where are the prime viewing spots?
    Check out the YFAC and Palace on the Prairie. The University of Oklahoma is opening seating for spectators to cheer on runners.
  • Where are the restrooms?
    The YFAC and Palace will have restrooms available during the race.
  • Where should I park?
    Spectator parking at the YFAC is encouraged. From 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, complimentary transportation will be provided between the YFAC and OU.
